Samsung Galaxy Buds 4

The Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 are Samsung’s latest true wireless earbuds, designed for everyday comfort, smart features, and high-quality audio. With a new open-fit design, Bluetooth 6.1, and Galaxy AI features, they focus more on convenience and ecosystem integration rather than pure isolation.

Design and Build

The Galaxy Buds 4 come with a semi in-ear (open-fit) design and a flat metal stem, giving them a modern look similar to AirPods-style earbuds. The case is compact with a translucent finish, adding a premium touch.

They carry an IP54 rating, meaning they are resistant to dust and light water splashes (earbuds only). This makes them suitable for daily use, but not ideal for heavy workouts or rain exposure.

Sound Quality

Samsung uses an 11mm dynamic driver, delivering balanced sound with clear vocals and decent bass. The earbuds support 24-bit / 96kHz Hi-Fi audio through Samsung’s Seamless Codec (SSC), offering better sound quality when paired with Galaxy devices.

Features like Adaptive EQ 2.0 and 360 Audio with head tracking help create a more immersive listening experience.

Noise Cancellation

The earbuds feature Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) along with Ambient Mode. However, because of the open-fit design, ANC is not as strong as in-ear earbuds with silicone tips.

This means they are better for casual listening and awareness of surroundings, rather than complete noise isolation.

Connectivity and Smart Features

With Bluetooth 6.1, the Buds 4 offer improved stability and efficiency. They also integrate deeply with Samsung’s ecosystem, bringing features like:

• Galaxy AI with real-time translation
• Auto device switching
• Head gesture controls (accept/reject calls)
• Super Clear Call with AI noise reduction

These features make them stand out more as a smart wearable than just audio gear.

Battery Life

The battery performance is solid for daily use:

• Up to ~7 hours on earbuds
• Up to ~29–30 hours with case

Wireless charging and USB-C support add extra convenience.
